Can a nursing home be held liable if my loved one was already frail when they were admitted?

A resident’s frailty or existing health conditions do not necessarily prevent a claim. Nursing homes are expected to provide care appropriate to each resident’s individual needs, including nutritional and hydration needs. Depending on the circumstances, if inadequate care contributed to additional harm, the facility may be held responsible.
